The maintenance barn at Mahr Park, Madisonville, Kentucky, emerges through the dense fog on a cool, crisp, November morning. Placed around the barn, at the perimeter of the gravel parking, are large limestone rocks. The fence is 8 feet tall, and surrounds the large area designated for the community vegetable garden. The tall fence is to deter deer from entering the area once planting and growth is underway. The black asphalt pathway in the walking/biking trail which will eventually be a continuous loop through the park.
